Seeking job in Michigan

Since the economy is bad now especially in Michigan. I just have one question to ask. How are we continue to support our family and survive if there are no jobs? Are we suppose to sit back and wait to be homeless. Losing all of our possessions. While watching the news, there are a half million job lost. We are hoping and praying that our new elect president Obama make things better and jobs are more plentiful soon. In the meantime, if anyone in Michigan know of a job that is available for a hi-lo/forklift driver, please comment and respond. Experienced for over 25 years. These positions includes forklift operator/shipping-receiving or warehouse work.

Little know ways to stop worrying and be a happy

Living in today's society where the economy is so bad, the way situations are handle will determine the day you will have. This is probably something that you have heard before. However, people know what to do and how to do it but we don't practice it. Some of us like to have a bad day, and be miserable for that day. I was talking to an elderly man one day (79 years old). He was not from this country. He spoke with great wisdom. I use to go to my job in a terrible mood because things in my life was not going the way I wanted it to go. I was snapping at everybody for no reason. While talking to this elderly man I snapped at him, and he just look at me and gave me a smile. I felt so bad because I was taught to respect my elders. I had to ask for his forgiveness. He gave that with no problem. He told me don't let this life get you this way. He also said that we need to smile more. He said, "in his country they have a class that you can take just for laughing. You go there and laugh until it hurts. Laughter is a medicine and smooth the mind and is a great way to release things. When people have snapped at you or your day is not going so good, just smile and find something pleasant and joyful that happen in your life that will make you laugh. Things we go through in this world each and every day does not make us have a pleasant day sometimes. Some of us worry about how we are going to eat, and how is this bill going to get paid, and if I lose my job then what. Life's roller coaster is hard. We need to do things to make our days go by as smoothly as possible and not worry about this and that. I have learned through the years that these methods work for me and maybe you can try them for yourself.

1. Don't let negative enter your mind.
Think about positive things. I believe that what you think is what you attract into your life. If you tell yourself that you are going to have a good day, you will have a good day.
2. Don't hang with negative people.
Remember the saying "birds of a feather, flock together". if that is quoted correctly. We need to start hanging around positive people. If you have around motivated people you are going to be motivated. I made a promise to myself in 2007 that when I enter 2008, I will not have anyone one in my life that is going to be a negative influence in my life. If that person is negative all the time and never have anything good to say. I'm moving on. That includes family members and so-called friends. So far, I have kept my promise.
3. Control your thoughts
I remember saying in my mind that these words when something negative happen in my life. "This too shall pass" and repeating that to myself. Guess what, it did pass.
4. Bloom where you are.
When you are feeling down and out remember that there is someone that is experiencing the same thing. There is also someone going through much worse than you are. Be happy for what you have at that present time. It could be much, much worse than that.
5. Do a good deed.
The best way to me to brighter your day is to do a good deed for someone else. Help an elderly person carry a bag, say some encouraging words to someone. Give a ride to someone that does not have a car. Purchase a few item for someone in the store. Visit the sick and help their day with some simple conversation. Baby sit for a young mother for a day. Give a homeless person some food and a warm blanket when it is cold.

In conclusions, why worry about things that you really don't have any control over anyway. It is a waste of energy. We know that test and trials happen in our life on a daily basis. We have no control over. It is a part of life. It is not what happens in our life, it is how we handle what happen that makes the different at the end.

I hope that this help someone day.
